Poetic Thursday

Here are a few to tantalise your tastebuds.... DARREN SARDELLI'S NEW POEMS Little Boy Blue Little Boy Blue, please cover your nose. You sneezed on Miss Muffet and ruined her clothes. You sprayed Mother Hubbard and now she is sick. You put out the fire on Jack’s candle stick. Your sneeze is the reason why Humpty fell down. You drenched Yankee Doodle when he came to town. The blind mice are angry! The sheep are upset! From now on use tissues so no one gets wet! My Dog Ate My Essay My doggy ate my essay, he picked up all my mail. He cleaned my dirty closet and dusted with his tail. He straightened out my posters and swept my wooden floor. My parents almost fainted when he fixed my bedroom door. I did not try to stop him. He made my windows shine. My room looked like a palace. My jackets smelled like pine. He fluffed up every pillow. He folded all my clothes. He even cleaned my fish tank with a toothbrush and a hose. I thought it was amazing to see him use a broom. I’m g

On a nice leisurely walk to my M.I.L's i was having the odd random chat that parents have with their children. My 8 year old son was telling me how he is classed as a geek. "Mom i do super awesome in Maths and Literacy and in Ict . what did my report say?! Super awesome !, only thing I'm not good at is handwriting, I'm a geek mom because I'm a computer whiz ." As i tried to explain without laughing as the enthusiasm in his voice was just.....funny as, he wasn't a geek it would be classed as intelligent. It means when he leaves school he can go to Uni...."no mom I'm going to college first!" Ok college then University, where as people that arnt very good at things and not that bothered about them will leave school and do nothing or something along those lines. This leads into a discussion about volcano's!!!!!! Yes wth ?? major jump from one subject to another, this is something of the ordinary when speaking with my son. So as

Stand Stay Black- Stay Proud Stay White- Stay Proud Stay Brown- Stay Proud Stay Yellow- Stay Proud Don't be afraid to be what you are, Cause all you can be, is you! You ll never be anything else but you, So be the best you, you can be. Keep it real - by all means, at all times. Whether a lawyer, a doctor, a football player, a toilet cleaner, a garbage handler, a panhandler- Keep it real and still- be the best you can be. Have pride, have dignity, stand! Stand proud, talk proud, act proud, be proud! Don't lay down, back down, bow down, run away, sell yourself, sell into criticism. Be real and realise that the ones who criticize, best recognize that you are you- take it or leave it. " MMM HMM !" I knew you'd get it. Get what? The stuff- the stuff called pride, that attitude, that aura, your identity, your self, your pride, peace of mind, worry free. See, I cant be you, but I&

So its been one of those long weeks, yes i know its not even over yet! My darling stepson turned 10 yesterday!! Yay Happy Birthday Lucas!! His mom usually does him a party of some sort every year along with his sister whom shares the same birth date. However this year on his 10Th...his double numbers...his lead into teenage years, she didn't! So we swiftly decided on Friday last to throw him a small tea party type thing, nothing huge just some food and balloons and a few of his friends from the estate...sounds so common that doesn't it lol..but alas its quite posh if i say so myself! Its a lovely estate with only one entrance (unless of course you jump over the bordering fence!) Anyways...his face was a picture when he saw the banners and balloons on the door...a surprise party...check! Good pressies...check! Super dooper buns made by yours truly....check! Friends to attend...check! A large Glass or bottle should i say of wine for me once the children have all gone home and the

A bit of a sad one but i think its a good reminder of my lost bean JJ and very well written. what makes a mother i thought of you and closed my eyes and prayed to god today, i asked, "what makes a mother?" and i know i heard him say: a mother has a baby, this we know is true but, god, can you be a mother when your baby's not with you? yes, you can, he replied with confidence in his voice, i give many women babies, when they leave it is not their choice. some i send for a lifetime, and others for the day, and some i send to feel your womb, but there's no need to stay. i just don't understand this god, i want my baby here. he took a breath, and cleared his throat, and then i saw a tear. i wish i could show you, what your child is doing here... if you could see your child smile with other children and say, "we go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear, but my mommy loved me so much i got to come straight here!" i feel so lucky to have

And we're back in the game!

So I had my last appointment at the Epu on Friday, I know I'm a little late in sharing my good news with you , but have been so busy. Anyway all was good new's! NO! in fact it was GREAT! news. It seems the antibiotic they gave me worked...why they couldn't have done that 10 weeks ago i will never know, but to hell with it it worked. The only down fall was that i would maybe have to wait 4-6 week more! for a period. That's like nearly 2 more month!!! Arghhhh. So comes home Friday does the weekly shop, pay the bills etc with kids in toe as they had another teacher training day. Comes to Friday night and OMG the brown stuff is back!! I had been clear for like 3 days! Typical it would come back when i finally no longer need to go to epu. So tell the DH who looks worried when i also mention i have slight tummy ache too. I know whats going though his mind. More trips to and from hospital, more weeks of 'sorry we don't know whats wrong'. So i make the decision if i

Reasons to be Grateful

Image
I am joining in with Maxabella Love's blog hop this week. She asks us to reflect on what we are grateful for. 1) I finally got the all clear from the hospital yesterday after having a difficult miscarriage . 10 weeks of mixed emotions, pain etc and i can now start again. So waiting for 1 cycle then onto some bonking so to speak lol !. 2)Me and my husband rarely get out anymore, he works difficult hours, you can always guarantee something will pop up when ever we plan to go out or we just simply don't have the cash, well last night i took charge. We went to the cinema to watch Transformers the dark side of the moon. Popcorn, pop and the company of my husband...bliss!! 3) I have felt drained for the past week and really tired so I'm thankful to my son this morning for giving me a lie in. Usually he is up at 6 am making a right racket, this morning he got up and was quiet and played on his ps 2 so a little lie in was had. Why not pop over to Maxbella's blog and ch

Poetic Thursday - Mother nature

Image
Mother Nature's Cry It took me a long while To better the way you live. Since you have turned hostile, I've got no more to give. My land is filled with waste My children are displaced. They live in utter fear, Watching friends disappear. You treat me like a joke: Choke me up with your smoke, Strip me of any clothes, And leave me with my foes. I have become man-made, Who serves you like a maid. Unnatural and impure, A disease with no cure. Do you know how I feel? See the scars I conceal? I lost my rights and voice You leave me with no choice. I am shaped based on greed. In pain, I sob and bleed. I have been infected, Abused and neglected. Do you hear me crying? I am sick and dying. You are my therapy Love me and and set me free. My children, I love you. I hope you love me too. Your mother needs you now. Help me I'll show you how. Recycle and conserve, Heed the rights I deserve. Hear my weakening voice, Help me regain my poise. It seems that what you do Has more effect on you

The Gallery - Grandparents.

I have two sets of grandparents although sadly no photo's. My dad's mom and dad i have very fond memories of. We use to go to their house for Sunday lunch, church in the morning, grab the veg from the garden and help prepear the lunch. We would take it in turns us three girls to do the Yorkshire puddings. We always did the meal the same. Yorkshires and gravy, then the meat veg and potatoes. We would then have tea later on in the afternoon. Sandwiches and then pudding. "Dip your crusts in your icecream" my gran would say if we couldnt eat them. Christmas was always a special occasion, we would be 'Santa's' helpers for the festive season, dressed in our dresses all sparkly if i remember right my elder sister had a peach one and me and my younger one had mint colour dresses. A star wand and we were away, giving out pressies to all the kids that came to sit on Santa's knee. My grandmother was very much the homely mother type, cooking making jams cakes etc,

Reaches for the whiskey......

Its been one of those nights tonight...kids have...well havent really....but they have taken hours to clean their rooms, and they are still not done. How messy can a kids room get seriously. Now some may call me 'tight' as my two say, for not cleaning their rooms for them, but they are 8 and 9 (10 in 2 week) and are able....infact more than bloody able if they concentrated to do it themselves. My eldest seems to have a fetish sort of thing with paper. He has masses and so does the floor, toy boxes, warldrobe, the bin thats in his room oh and under the bed! SO tonight after seeing it all over i decided paper was banned from his room. The other son just has a fear of tidying his bedroom fully. Lol. So me been me when in all rearing and cleared out all the toy boxes, ynder the bed etc etc....what a mess!! Whilst all that was happening i decide to have a look on Facebook. One of my friends that has been trying to concieve for 4 years is 13w 3 days preg....she had posted her scan pi

How to naturally concieve twins...or at least help the chances.

Image
Cute i hear you say?! Defiantly you just want to snuggle and pinch their cheeks and gurgle along with them in their own special baby talk. I'm wondering how many have thought to our self's i would love to have twins...but they are not on either side of the family and I'm not taking fertility drugs?! I know i have even when i was pregnant with my son 8 years ago all i could think was oooohhhh what if it was twins. I have twins in my family, my fathers brother was a twin. My DH has twins in his family too. So here are some basic facts on twins.. Generally 1 out of 89 pregnancies produce twins naturally conceived Most twins are Fraternal this means they are made from 2 different eggs. Identical twins are rare and come from the same egg. Having a family history of twins will increase your chances of having twins. This is true if you have a family history of twins, meaning someone on your mother’s side or father’s side of the family has had twins, especially if they had fratern

A new road to take?!

Image
I'm having one of those days today where you have to be optimistic. Had another blood test this morning will get the results no doubt when i go to the hospital of Friday. I've been going over the past 10 week in my head, what went wrong? Why did it happen? Was it something i did? Didn't do? But my biggest question is why has it dragged out soooo long. My oh my mother nature can be sooo cruel. So I'm hoping and praying that when i go to the hospital on Friday i get the all clear and am able to get on the band wagon again to ttc. The stomach pains seem to have eased as does the bleeding so that's a good sign....just waiting on the nasty witch to show her face! Although tbh she will be a blessing this month but....only for this month. So heres hoping its a new road to take....the ttc journey take 2! Coming up.....How to help conceive twin/multiples naturally..intrigued????
