A stress free month?!....

Image
For the people that kind of know me they should know for me to do stress free....is soooo easy. Well it is until babies enter the equation . As you can tell from many of my posts i have tried near enough EVERTHING . Yeah OK there are a few other things i want to check/try too. Think I'm crazy yet?? Well with the cervical mucus and cervix checking...oh check out www.mybeautifulcervic.com anyone that wants to do bbt and cm checking, very graphic but amazing non the less. Then theres the ovulation tests, sperm meets egg plan, legs in the air after sex, oh boy that can be funny! To taking certain medicines ie folic acid, b6 etc. Then there is the 'new' thing to have come about which is Paradox capsules which is different blends of fish oils. These apparently make your eggs 'more suitable', also Soy iso which if I'm right brings ovulation forward for those ladies (like myself) that have irregular cycles. OK so now you know just how nutty i am! I try...

A rite gud ole natter!

Ive been slacking big time for the past few weeks! Had so much to do and not enough hours in the day. Finally only 3 weeks till the little darlings go back to school. I CANT WAIT! don't get me wrong they have their moments when they can be really good but whether its just me ( I'm starting to think so) but i clean one room, go to clean the next and the first room is a bloody mess again! Routine goes wooooosh straight out the window. No more up early for school, breakfast, hands, face teeth and dressed. Coming home from school and making sure their bedrooms are tidy. Bedtime at 8:30! Now its get up when they feel, play on computer or read till lunch then get dressed etc once their friends come to play and no bed till 9pm + So only 3 weeks left... Well nothing much has been happening in the gud ole Smith household. Have taken up to baking in huge amounts lol , Ginger biscuits and strawberry flavoured buns along with an eve's pudding were on the menu the oth...

And we're back in the game!

So I had my last appointment at the Epu on Friday, I know I'm a little late in sharing my good news with you , but have been so busy. Anyway all was good new's! NO! in fact it was GREAT! news. It seems the antibiotic they gave me worked...why they couldn't have done that 10 weeks ago i will never know, but to hell with it it worked. The only down fall was that i would maybe have to wait 4-6 week more! for a period. That's like nearly 2 more month!!! Arghhhh. So comes home Friday does the weekly shop, pay the bills etc with kids in toe as they had another teacher training day. Comes to Friday night and OMG the brown stuff is back!! I had been clear for like 3 days! Typical it would come back when i finally no longer need to go to epu. So tell the DH who looks worried when i also mention i have slight tummy ache too. I know whats going though his mind. More trips to and from hospital, more weeks of 'sorry we don't know whats wrong'. So i make the decision if i...

How to naturally concieve twins...or at least help the chances.

Image
Cute i hear you say?! Defiantly you just want to snuggle and pinch their cheeks and gurgle along with them in their own special baby talk. I'm wondering how many have thought to our self's i would love to have twins...but they are not on either side of the family and I'm not taking fertility drugs?! I know i have even when i was pregnant with my son 8 years ago all i could think was oooohhhh what if it was twins. I have twins in my family, my fathers brother was a twin. My DH has twins in his family too. So here are some basic facts on twins.. Generally 1 out of 89 pregnancies produce twins naturally conceived Most twins are Fraternal this means they are made from 2 different eggs. Identical twins are rare and come from the same egg. Having a family history of twins will increase your chances of having twins. This is true if you have a family history of twins, meaning someone on your mother’s side or father’s side of the family has had twins, especially if they had fratern...

A new road to take?!

Image
I'm having one of those days today where you have to be optimistic. Had another blood test this morning will get the results no doubt when i go to the hospital of Friday. I've been going over the past 10 week in my head, what went wrong? Why did it happen? Was it something i did? Didn't do? But my biggest question is why has it dragged out soooo long. My oh my mother nature can be sooo cruel. So I'm hoping and praying that when i go to the hospital on Friday i get the all clear and am able to get on the band wagon again to ttc. The stomach pains seem to have eased as does the bleeding so that's a good sign....just waiting on the nasty witch to show her face! Although tbh she will be a blessing this month but....only for this month. So heres hoping its a new road to take....the ttc journey take 2! Coming up.....How to help conceive twin/multiples naturally..intrigued????

Still positive :(

So its been a weeks since i went to the EPU and had more bloods done to check my hcg. After been sent home with meds for my unexplained stomach cramps, and constipation tablets to counteract the 'side effects' of the pain killers and stomach protecters and anti sickness...blah blah yes when i walk im sure i rattle! Anyways i was told to do a hpt today and then return on the 21st for more bloods. So as you can see from the picture that is my result for today! Stressful or what! Its baffling me so much. My hcg last weeks was in the 900's so surly nearly 6 weeks after erpc they should be close to below 5 and if not at least showing faint on a hpt test. Oh and can i point out its a crappy on that the hospital gave me that measuers at something like 25ml. I just want to know what is going on now. So here's to waiting another 7 days to finanlly get some answers.

Reasons to be Cheerful

Image
After a hectic few weeks i have realised i do have things to be cheerful for today 1) Finally after my miscarriage i have my first period. OK so some may be saying you are crazy girl no one likes them, but for me its a step forward to been able to start ttc again. 2)I have a wonderful family that have helped me through this. My stepmother that gave me words of wisdom, heartfelt comments and cheery emails everyday to keep my mind occupied. My mom for been there when i needed to cry, OK so it was over the phone but still....every girl needs her mom. My sister's for just been my sisier's. Putting past differences aside and helping me through. My Mil for been a huge help emotionally. My dad for showing me he does care after all. 3) I have a wonderful son and stepson. Ok they may seem like they are going on 18, gobby and so always thinking they are right, but they always make me smile. 4)My cat and kittens. Watching them bond, play and grow after having a rough time. (easily pleased...

The Joys Of TTC, Not As Simple As It All Seems!!

Image
We all assume that making a baby is simple, or i did tbh. Boy meets girl, girl and boy fall in love, sometimes get married. They have sex, a period is missed, a pregnancy test is taken, tears of joy, swollen feet, sore boobies, expanding appetite and belly and finally a beautiful bundle of joy after 9 month. Boy can we be so wrong! It is no where near as simple as that sadly. I first started TTC (trying to conceive) after my DH had his vasectomy reversal done 26Th Jan 2011. A week after his operation we were back to DTD (doing the deed) 10 week later i got my BFP(big fat positive). Sadly as you may have read i miscarried at 5 week. However to actually get where i got took a lot of planning. Has anyone watched inside the human body the first part? Interesting i must say! So you only have a certain amount of time in your cycle where you can actually conceive. In a standard 28 day cycle you ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period. A few people do the SMEP (Sprem meets egg plan)...

A cocktail of drugs

It seems to be one of those days where i have the good old 'writers block'. Well to a certain degree i do. I have many things on my mind that i want to write about and i can write it all and then read it and I'm like hmmm...nah and scrap it. Its been a pretty rough weekend tbh. I attended what seems to be my second home on Sunday for more routine blood tests after my erpc on the 13th may, only to have to return later that night with sever stomach pains. Labour pains!!! bah they didn't have a notch on this. I was paralysed with the pain it was that bad. After sitting in A&E for 5 hours, a few more vales of blood taken i was sent home with Dihydrocodeine and Diclofenac. Felt sorry for my Dh as he had to be at work at 6 am that morning, we got in at 3.45! Sending my now drowsy son to bed i make a coffee and sat on the sofa wide awake. Typical. We spoke of what had happened in a&e, the wait times, the way they sit you in one room to wait and then move you onto the n...

Family

So once again the kids are off school. Is it me or do they seem to have more and more time off? I never remember having this much time off and as I'm only 27 even though my kids sometimes like to make out I'm from the stone age, it only works out that i left around 11 years ago. Took the kids to see my mom and sister the other weekend. As the live in Leeds is not often i get to see them. With everything that has been going on all i wanted was my mommy. It was really good to see them and to have a cuddle. My mother in law has also been a rock over the past few months, not only emotionally but in other ways too. At the same time as my miscarriage my cat Skitz gave birth to 3 gorgeous kittens, all black and white. Sadly she became ill and with drawn a few days later. A visit to the vets revealed she had another kitten inside her, sadly it had died on the way out and was still stuck in there! Two operations later, one to remove the kitten and a full hysterectomy and one t...

The dream is over

Saturday 30 Th April, just one week of knowing, just 7 days of stroking and talking to my little ' JJ ' i woke at 5, did my usual Saturday morning routine, saw my DH off to work at 6 am and went to the loo before climbing back into bed. I wiped and it was brown. I had read that brown blood was OK . Tried to put it to the back of my mind but couldn't . Had slight back ache and cramps, but had that fo r the past few weeks and Dr said it was normal. However was in the emergency Dr's by 11 pm. 'Threatened Miscarriage ' not to worry unless it was gushing red and sever pain. So came home and within 5 minutes of walking in the door i was gushing red. We made our way to the A&E. Saturday night and been seen in 20 minutes is an all time record for me! I had internal with the biggest torch you had ever seen lol . I was booked in for an early scan. Cutting the story short, 2 weeks of hcg lvl testing and an ERPC on 13 Th may Friday 13 Th of all days! i h...
