On the road to IVF

After seeing my consultant today, i feel.......a little worried, a little apprehensive, yet a little like I'm on the road to another challenge. When my Dh when for his vasectomy reversal, we didn't get warned about antibodies killing off his sperm. Our consultant thinks this may be the problem, although not 100% sure, Tests are been done! Also due to my long cycles rearing their head after so long ( guessing the clomid is totally out of my system) he has decided i need another ovary scan. So that is all but booked in just waiting for the date. Until then i have been put on Metformin . A drug generally used for type 2 diabetics, although recent studies have seen it help women with fertility problems. We are on the road to either IUI or IVF , It seems that after 3 years with no luck that is the only option. There are a lot of pros and cons to look at when dealing with the treatment. The main factor is the cost! How expensive!!! Luckily i have opted for the egg share whic...

A stress free month?!....

For the people that kind of know me they should know for me to do stress free....is soooo easy. Well it is until babies enter the equation . As you can tell from many of my posts i have tried near enough EVERTHING . Yeah OK there are a few other things i want to check/try too. Think I'm crazy yet?? Well with the cervical mucus and cervix checking...oh check out www.mybeautifulcervic.com anyone that wants to do bbt and cm checking, very graphic but amazing non the less. Then theres the ovulation tests, sperm meets egg plan, legs in the air after sex, oh boy that can be funny! To taking certain medicines ie folic acid, b6 etc. Then there is the 'new' thing to have come about which is Paradox capsules which is different blends of fish oils. These apparently make your eggs 'more suitable', also Soy iso which if I'm right brings ovulation forward for those ladies (like myself) that have irregular cycles. OK so now you know just how nutty i am! I try...

Reasons to be Cheerful

After a hectic few weeks i have realised i do have things to be cheerful for today 1) Finally after my miscarriage i have my first period. OK so some may be saying you are crazy girl no one likes them, but for me its a step forward to been able to start ttc again. 2)I have a wonderful family that have helped me through this. My stepmother that gave me words of wisdom, heartfelt comments and cheery emails everyday to keep my mind occupied. My mom for been there when i needed to cry, OK so it was over the phone but still....every girl needs her mom. My sister's for just been my sisier's. Putting past differences aside and helping me through. My Mil for been a huge help emotionally. My dad for showing me he does care after all. 3) I have a wonderful son and stepson. Ok they may seem like they are going on 18, gobby and so always thinking they are right, but they always make me smile. 4)My cat and kittens. Watching them bond, play and grow after having a rough time. (easily pleased...
